Draft Grades

Bijan Robinson plus Brock Bowers at 2.24 is the best positional 1-2 in the room — you're farming a weekly tight-end advantage while the rest of the league streams whoever's healthy. Nico Collins and Garrett Wilson front a WR closet so deep it's borderline rude (Godwin, Addison, Meyers, Worthy). Caleb Williams is a perfectly cromulent cheap QB. The one thing between you and a runaway: if Bijan tweaks an ankle, your RB2 is a shrug. Otherwise the cleanest build in the league — and you didn't even have to reach to do it.

The most complete roster in the draft, assembled with the reckless abandon of a tax accountant. Puka Nacua is a top-four overall anchor; from there you plugged every gap without a single panic pick — a backfield four deep (Walker, Judkins, Corum, Croskey-Merritt), a real WR trio in Puka/Pickens/Brian Thomas Jr., and Tyler Warren as a top-five-upside TE. Herbert at 7.76 is quietly good value. The only reason you're not #1: no ceiling-raiser at QB, and your WR2/3 actually have to hit their range. But there's nothing here to exploit, which is the entire point of a draft.

Redraft's greatest magic trick: the roster that would be a retirement home in dynasty is a legitimate contender when only this year counts. Saquon and Derrick Henry are a top-tier RB duo, and the guys behind them — Jaylen Warren, Jordan Mason, Alvin Kamara — could start for half this league. Tee Higgins is a bona fide WR1. Sure, you reached on Jordan Mason, your WR2 is a leap of faith, and Bo Nix won't win you a week single-handedly. None of it matters: in half-PPR, this backfield is a felony.

Jonathan Taylor up top, then Drake London and Malik Nabers — one of the nastiest WR duos anyone walked out with. TreVeyon Henderson at 4.44 was a genuinely smart value swing, LaPorta is a top-five TE, and Dak does the job without complaint. Your value grade takes a beating from a couple of late overpays (Tank Bigsby, Woody Marks — we noticed), but the starting nine is legitimately mean. RB depth behind JT is the only real soft spot. Quietly one of the best drafts here.

Ja'Marr Chase and Trey McBride is a foundation most of the league would trade a kidney for — WR1 overall plus a top-two tight end is filthy. Jeremiyah Love and Bucky Irving make a fine backfield and DJ Moore rounds it out. Then the middle rounds happened: Makai Lemon a full 27 spots ahead of ADP (he's a WR44 this year, champ), Josh Downs over cost, Rachaad White for seasoning. Elite at the top, allergic to the ADP chart in the middle.

A skill spine that slaps — Jeanty and Breece at running back, Jefferson and McMillan at receiver, all inside the top 40, plus a Terry McLaurin value grab and a sneaky-good Tucker Kraft. That's a playoff core. The brakes: Kyler Murray is a shrug at QB, and you paid up for KC Concepcion 18 spots early, because rookie enthusiasm is a hell of a drug. You can go pick-for-pick with anyone through five rounds; the finish just wobbled.

When only 2026 counts, this roster wakes up. Christian McCaffrey is a top-three back if the hamstrings cooperate, Olave and Egbuka are a solid duo, and you cornered the tight-end market with Kittle AND Hockenson. Mahomes at 9.102 is a QB1 in the clearance aisle. The demerits: you reached on Josh Jacobs by 17 spots, then drafted Matthew Stafford in the 10th while already rostering Mahomes — a pick so redundant it has its own zip code. The talent is real; the process had the hiccups.

Best value GPA in the league, and the top three picks earn it: Amon-Ra and Achane off the turn, then Lamar Jackson — a top-two fantasy QB — lounging in Round 4. And then the energy shifts. Carnell Tate (WR30), Jordyn Tyson (WR35) and Rome Odunze are lovely names doing very little for you in Week 3, and Kyle Pitts has been 'about to break out' since roughly the Obama administration. Spending an 8th on Trevor Lawrence to back up Lamar was the cherry on top. Championship ceiling, science-experiment floor.

You drafted efficiently — top value GPA, no dumb reaches — and Jahmyr Gibbs is the RB1 overall, so the floor is sky-high. Jayden Daniels in Round 6 is excellent, the RB depth (Kyren, Swift, Pollard) is enviable, and A.J. Brown with Waddle is a fine WR base. So why only a B? Tight end. Your plan is prime-era-cosplay Travis Kelce, which in a TE-required lineup is a weekly coin flip. Great draft, one glaring hole — go win a waiver for a pulse at the position.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba and CeeDee Lamb is a two-headed WR monster, and Jalen Hurts is a top-six QB — the top of this thing is genuinely scary. The bottom, less so: Skattebo and Montgomery are a fine-not-fun backfield, and tight end (Brenton Strange, ADP 142) is a crater in a lineup that requires you to start one. Add a couple of late reaches (Quentin Johnston, Purdy in the 11th) and you've built a Ferrari with two flat tires. Elite receivers can drag you a long way, to be fair.

A tidy, sensible draft that will go 7-7 and shrug about it. James Cook and Chase Brown are a productive RB duo, and DeVonta, Zay and Metcalf give you a deep, dependable receiver room. Drake Maye is a fine cheap QB. But there's no swing-for-the-fences pick anywhere, tight end is a question (Isaiah Likely), and you reached on Aaron Jones. It's the fantasy equivalent of ordering plain grilled chicken — nutritious, forgettable, and unlikely to either win a trophy or send anyone to the hospital.

We have to start at pick 7, because you did — on Josh Allen, whose ADP is 28, in a single-QB league where a perfectly good QB1 would've been there three rounds later. That's not a hot take, it's arithmetic: you passed on a top-eight skill player to draft a position you didn't need early, and no amount of Luther Burden upside buys it back. The good news, buried in the rubble: Omarion Hampton is a real RB1 and Rice/McConkey/Burden is a deep, fun WR room. But the RB2 is thin (Dobbins) and the 1.07 is a boat anchor. Draft a running back there next year and we will never speak of this again.
